The Romsey bowl was sponsored by the Romsey Pharmacy and we are very grateful for their sponsorship and for sending a representive to present the trophies at lunch. The day was marred by heavy drizzle and poor visibility. The players who'd entered arrived but were not enthusiastic about playing. Ladies found the course heavy and hard going, many of them said they had never been sooooo cold before. The sun shone for an instant and the weather cleared up for the last six holes after everyone was thoroughly wet.

With a field of 95 players beginning the day in rather blustery conditions, they finished the day soaking wet.
It is a long time since we have had rain like we had for the Plate and people had forgotten to bring a change of clothes for the wet weather. Captain Mary Campbell would like to thank everyone who attended the bowl and braved the adverse conditions.

Who was the Dalhousie official walking around wrapped in a tablecloth???

Special Note: Bev Bellman would very much like to apologise to the Dalhousie hierachy for never having put any of them off the 1st or 10th tees (as is protocol) at any Marysville Tournament over the last 14 years as she has never been told anything of this practice.
I'm sure you are forgiven, Bev!!
